How can I make a donation?

Can I make a donation in someone's honor or in memory of a loved one?
Yes, tribute gifts are a thoughtful way to celebrate someone special while helping our community grow. When donating online, simply choose the honor or memorial option from the dropdown menu. You can then provide the name of the individual you are honoring and include the recipient's details if you'd like us to send an acknowledgement card. Feel free to add a personal message or signature to make it even more meaningful.
Will I get a receipt for my donation?
Yes, we provide official donation receipts for all contributions. Gifts made online receive an immediate email confirmation, gifts mailed may take up to three weeks, followed by a formal tax receipt for your records.
How do I change my monthly giving method of payment, monthly amount, or stop payment?
Managing your recurring gift is simple. You can log into your donor account or contact our support team directly to make any adjustments to your stewardship plan at any time.
Am I able to receive a refund of my donation?
While we are generally unable to refund donations once they have been processed and put to work in the community, please reach out to our team if an error has occurred during your transaction.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, Community Hands, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

We gratefully accept contributions through Donor Advised Funds. Simply designate Community Hands, Inc. as the beneficiary through your fund manager to facilitate your grant. Learn more and make a DAF donation here.

Why am I asked to cover digital transaction costs?
Covering digital transaction costs is completely optional, but it makes a significant impact on our stewardship. By choosing to include these fees, you ensure that 100% of your intended gift goes directly to Community Hands’ hunger-relief work and frontline missions, allowing our resources to reach even further in serving those in need.
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) and Required Minimum Distributions (RMD).
Individuals aged 70½ or older can donate directly from their IRA as a QCD. This may satisfy RMD requirements while providing tax-efficient support for our vital community missions.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/USDA-OASCR%20P-Complaint-Form-0508-0002-508-11-28-17Fax2Mail.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
